I woke up this morning to two great emails. You see every few months I apply for jobs. I haven't worked for the most of the last 15 years. I figured with my kids getting older, a job would give me something to do and a little extra cash never hurt. The first email was for an executive assistant job and the other was an intern for a local artist. I applied for the executive assistant job the end of January, so I was quite surprised when I got an email back from them this morning. It would be a great job. So, i scheduled my phone interview for Tuesday morning. Now the intern job, getting that email made me shriek like a little girl when I saw it. You see i was watching local PBS last night, and they were doing a special on local artist. The did an interview with Steven Liguori. He is an amazing artist, and has several art instillation around town. He was also commissioned to create a memorial to the high scalers who helped build Hoover Dam. On a whim last night, I found his website and sent an email asking if they ever hire interns. I woke up to an email from Steven himself. He told me they did, and asked me to send my resume. I really cant stop smiling. What a great way to wake up. Just more proof that when you focus on the good, life really does improve.I just wanted to share my happy morning news with you all.
